When this paper was started in January 2000, it required going back to all memories and experiences of a man that spent all his life interpreting, 17 years of which were tough years of simultaneous translation. Parts of this long paper which will perhaps later turn into memoires refer to delicate periods of the work with the governement, UN etc. so the author decided to send personally this paper to those who are willing to ask for it rather than leave this precious piece of advice and experience open and unattended to.
